Urbis is well known to people in Manchester. It's a large green glass blob that is used as a space for exhibitions all loosely based around the theme of 'cities'.

Unfortunately, only one of the three main exhibition spaces was occupied when I attended, and this was an exhibition about the history of UK hip-hop.
