This famous members-only library is open to the public when it has special exhibitions on. So just as well my holiday coincided with an exhibition by the Manchester Astronomical Society!
The library is tiny by comparison with Manchester's other libraries, but it's stunning. A real sign of the kind of wealth Manchester had back in its heyday.
