Owlglish
It's all Greek to you?
If you've ever spoken to me over IM or IRC you may notice that I talk a load of crap.
As well as talking a load of crap, some of the strange dialect of English (named Owlglish) that I use does actually make sense in my head, and I thought it best to provide you all with a simple Owlglish to English dictionary which I will update as and when I remember words I use.
Owlglish → English dictionary
- {o,o}: an owl, often used a sort of signature
- o/~: a musical note, indicates I am singing along to something, normally
- Caledonia: Scotland
- carp: crap
- dashing the wishes: washing the dishes
- g'ah!: damn!
- geek: (depending on context) Greek
- gopher it: go for it
- grar: a sort of roar, used to get someone's attention, normally
- kalinyhta: (from Greek) goodnight
- Mancland: Manchester
- /me: a way of describing an action (from the IRC command. See wikipedia if you don't understand.)
- moof: hello (said when tired, usually in the morning)
- Mrs RichD / Mrs Owl / Nitina: Cindy
- palpot: laptop computer
- serpently: certainly
- t3h c00ln355: (from leet, which I abhor) good
- wavificationate: to wave
- wibble: I don't understand, or I find it strange
- wibble wobble woo: all-purpose general phrase that means nothing
- Yorkshite: Yorkshire
